What Happens When a Security Officer is Dispatched to Your Alarm?
When an Alarm Response Security Officer is dispatched to an alarm, they are
provided with the site address, key number and any pertinent information
regarding the nature of the alarm. Should it be necessary to disarm or
reset an alarm system, the system code is encrypted before being sent to
the Armed Security Officer as a safety precaution against eavesdropping.
- As the Alarm Response Security Officer gets within a block or so of the
site, he will radio our Dispatcher at our Command Operations Center with his status and note
suspicious persons or vehicles fleeing the area. - Once onsite, our Alarm Response Security Officer will perform a
comprehensive perimeter check of your home or business for signs of
forced entry. The Mobile Officer will also check all perimeter doors,
windows and gates for signs of tampering or forced entry. - If the perimeter is secure, the Unarmed Security Officer will then proceed to a
designated access door, locate the keypad, disarm the system and note
all zones in alarm. - The onsite alarm investigation will then focus on the interior areas
where the alarm occurred. Once the interior patrol is complete, the Uniformed Security Officer will then reset the alarm system, exit and
properly secure the access door. - Before departing the site, our Alarm Response Officer will inform New England Security’s
Operation Control Center of their findings and confirm that the alarm
system has been properly re-set. - All responses are fully documented and reports are then emailed.
